Euro hops on top of a yeasty, unexpectedly tart base. Interesting concept, but the execution is a bit uneven; the lemongrass and citrus zest add complexity to the pale malt front, but the hops donβt mesh well with the gose sourness. Okay beer, great packaging.

Pours from a can dated May 14, 2015. Aroma is slightly sweet with a moderate grain and white bread note. Medium light floral esters and light peppery phenolics. Pours a slightly cloudy, pale yellow straw with a small, moderately thick, white head that quickly rceedes to a thin film. Flavor is slightly sweet with a medium grain character and a bit of bread. A bit of a corn note. Medium spicy hop notes and light phenolics. Medium bitterness. Light fruity and floral esters that become stronger as it warms. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty boring but easy drinking beer. Some light esters and phenolics. Low grain notes. Nothing offensive.

On tap at the Krog Street Hop City. Pale yellow color, with a big, white head and lots of lacing. Nose is pilsener, in the best possible way, with some light mango, orange peel, nice spruce hops, and a touch of salt. Flavor is mellow sweetness, and a nice touch of hop bitterness, and it seems that the salt balances the whole thing out perfectly. Light body, crisp, with a clean finish. This is about as perfect as a pilsener can get, in my humble opinion.
