New Frontier Beer: Boone, travelling through Kentucky on his way to the frontier, needed a place to store his beer. He placed an imperial brown in discarded bourbon barrels. Months later he had an amazing beer that would cellar well. And so the legend was born. *Events presented here are not factual, but are based on actual events. In our dreams. After sampling the beer a few times. Cheers!

From tap at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma is sweet barley malt with lots of bourbon, strong vanilla, sugary malts, cane sugar. Long overpowering sweetness. Body is medium. Eh, okay I guess, I hoped for more Brown aroma and less sweet barley and bourbon. Not my kind of beer.

Fles 66cl thuis. 10,77%. Vanille, caramel, redelijk koolzuur, zoet, flink boozy, bourbon, rood fruit, noot, droog. Vrij dun voor het hoge alcoholgehalte. (17-7-2020).

Bottle. Caramel, vanilla and bourbon in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly, soft roasty flavor with vanilla and bourbon. Full bodied. Good, but not great.

Draught @ Beer Temple. Clear deep amber colour. Dense off white head. Aroma's: bourbon, sweet, toffee, vanilla. Retronasal it's bourbon, boozy alcohol, light wood and vanilla. Flavour is moderate sweet, toffee, light wood. Medium bodied, or actually a bit thin as most BA beers from this brewery. Long finish.

Just noticed that the label is kind of weird. Looks like they're using a reenactor as a model cuz the guy is wearing modern style glasses. I guess it fits the beer because there's nothing traditional about it for a brown ale. Both of the Aromas and flavors are massively caramel sweet malt and not much else.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy copper with medium beige head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is bready malt and roast. Medium mouth, strong roast, vanilla, boozy, very good.

Split a 22oz bottle. Poured a dark amber/brown color with a small white head. Aroma was boozy bourbon notes, some vanilla, woody notes. Flavor was nice light boozy alcohol notes, bourbon. Touch of vanilla on the finish. Pretty enjoyable.
