It is an American Brown Ale brewed outside of current style guidelines with a strong Northwestern identity. On tap at the brewery pours dark brown topped with a tan head. Nose is pine hops chocolate and some spice. Taste is more of the nice sweet malts bitter hops on the end.

Taster at brewery. Medium brown, small soapy head. Pretty rich for a brown ale. More roasty and not as sweet.

From the sampler tray at the brewery. Clear brown pour with a lacy beige head. Nutty, buttered toast aroma. Sweet nutty flavor; ends on a slightly bitter hop note. Nice beer.
