Draft at Fairview location. Dark amber pour, tiny ring of beige head. Maple is first on the nose, hint of smoke, sweet. Taste comes in like a true doppelbock, sweet and smoky, maple more subdued than in the aroma. With so much going on here, this could have gone terribly wrong but its great. All of the elements are in sync, complimenting each other. Doppelbock for breakfast.

On cask at the Barrel Aged Social. Hazy deep caramel color and aromas. Some of the bourbon comes through but not much bacon. Flat and warm (cask) but nice flavor blend.

On tap at the brewery pours out a muddy brown topped with a tan head. Nose is big maple syrup sweetness roast bourbon barrel vanilla lots of sweetness. Taste is more of the nice sweet maple bourbon barrel vanilla notes and some light bitter notes on the end.
