330ml bottle. Quasi black colour with small to average, thick, creamy, slowly diminishing, moderately lacing, beige head. Chocolately dark malty, minimally smoky and spicy aroma, doughy, yeasty overtones, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, a touch of cinnamon, tonka beans, spiced chocolate cake. Taste is roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately and spicy, minimally nutty and smoky, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, cinnamon, a touch of tonka beans, some roasty bitterness, very subtle sweetness. Quite dry, minimally watery, a bit cautious - nice composition overall.

Bottle at a tasting. Grassy vegetal aroma and the same dominates the taste. I do not get any of the special ingredients - maybe only a little bit of rauch malt. Very thin body, feels watery, lacks the hard roast defining a stout. Really not my favourite.

Bottle at tasting with Cuso, MisoW and Gurthnar. Malty aroma and taste, smoky notes, chocolate, coffee, roastyness, light to medium bitter and sweet. Medium body, malty bitter and sweet finish. Ok.

From the bottle. Dark brown with a sticky, thin, beige head. Aroma is licorice and Old Bailey over cherry bonbon. Taste is mildly sweet with sour undertones. The cinnamon presents itself (subtly) at the finish. Body is medium, carbonation is mild. Pleasant stuff.

Bottle: Almost black, small but persistent brownish to off-white head, moderate bitter-sweet nose of wood, chocolate and fruit-cake; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, only light bodied; slightly lingering dryish toasty-fruity finish with fruity Spots and some warming ALK in the aftertaste. Not thats bad, but not completely convincing...

Huge thanks to Erzengel for sharing. Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep black, small head. Nice dry malty aroma. Starts intense malty, roasty, earthy. Stouty notes. Dry bitter background. Finish well balanced, still intense malty. Nice!

Bottle from Vormann Brauerei. Fresh roasted and slightly smoky nose. The beer starts fresh and slightly sourish. Smoky hints, very dry with lots of burned grain. Sourish smoky back, sessionable and refreshing.
