Beers have such beautiful hues to them, and when I see a taster tray I can't help but think of a painter's color palette. This beer, which has the deep brown color of burnt umber, is a dark malty brown ale with a dry, easy drinking finish. Notes of coffee, toffee, and a smooth nuttiness round this beer out, providing flavor for the palate without too much heaviness.

Draft at the Handlebar. Dark, opaque brown, small creamy head. Aroma is more roasty than nutty.. Taste too is a nice mellow roasty flavor, minor nutty notes. Small bitter snap finishes it.
