In Williamsburg, Brooklyn, we forge barley malt and hops from Germany, aromatic raw sugar from Mauritius and yeast from Belgium into our latest beer, Brooklyn Local 1. Behind the full golden color you'll find an alluring aroma, a dynamic complex of flavors. Belgian flair, Brooklyn fortitude and a dusting of our special yeast. To create this beer, we use the old technique of 100% bottle re-fermentation, a practice now rare even in Europe. It gives this beer a palate of unusual depth. Enjoy it locally or globally, as an aperitif or with your favorite dishes. It is particularly nice with spicy seafood and with fine cheeses.

Towering, very dense & fine yellowish head, leaving textbook lace over clear yellowish-golden beer. Quite spicy & yeasty nose, dry herbs, maybe some other grains? Very spicy flavour, toasted, peppery, clove or allspice, "hot". Spritzy MF; spices/yeastesters, keep lingering. Medium bodied. Warming up, alcohol. Tu quoque, Garrett? Another typical USA ale that is supposed to be Belgian.

Getrunken auf der Braukunst live 2015 in München Dort hat es mir recht gut gefallen. Es ist ein etwas stark geratenes Tripel, das einen nette Blance zwischen Alkohollastigkeit und Weihnachtsgewürzen schafft. Auf jeden Fall ein interessantes Bier.

75cl bottle @ the Tenth Shrewsbury Bottle Share, Dec 14, courtesy of myself. Pours a hazy yellow with foamy head. Saison appearance continuing to the taste with spice and lemon citrus in good balance alongside some stone fruit and candi sugar. Pleasant, light and refreshing attempt at a Belgian beer.

Clear golden with a big white head, some lacing. Aroma is musty and green apples. Taste is sweet caramel, dark fruit and toasted malts
Ok but I wouldn’t want any more than a few ounces. We had Local 1 & 2, I don’t understand the high ratings of either one.

750ml cork and caged bottle: split between five at the December 2014 Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group Meeting. Thanks Paolo for bringing this. Pours a cloudy gold/yellow with a white head. The aroma was mini-citrus, yeasty and semi-sweet all in one basket. The taste an interesting mixture of saison type tanginess, earthiness and spicy hops with a sweet balance from somewhere. Different and interesting from start to finish.
