What the hell is "craft lager" anyway? Why is it so frequently tied to a bland and boring beer? Let's stop mailing it in, and half heartedly making swill and trying to pass it off as "craft" because a small brewery made it. How about if we wanna make a "craft lager", we actually CRAFT a LAGER! Rant over, wish granted. The Ringer is our meticulously hand crafted, take on a traditional German style Pilsner. All pilsner malt with a touch of Munich, to add a little bit of rich toastyness to that crisp and snappy malt flavor that sits as an elegant & graceful backbone for beautiful hop bouquet. Spalt Select & crystal are sprinkled through the boil for the modern, yet familiar noble hop character. At the end of the boil, we bring those two back and add a larger dose of Mandarina Bavaria for a touch tangerine. Modern yet traditional. Crisp and effervescent. Easy and nuanced. One then another. Cheers!

12 oz. can purchased at Total Wine - Henderson, NV. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a white head and very good retention. Decent lacing. Very faint grain and hops aroma. The flavor is similar. Light pilsner malt taste with a very bready body and a hint of lemon. Tastes like a mix of pilsner and a golden ale. Crisp (but not sharp) mouthfeel. Clean, with medium+ carbonation. Not bad.

Taster at brewery. Ale straw golden, small cap of head. Aroma and taste both lean on the grain bill, tiny hops bite at the end. Closer to a lager than a pils.
