When you've got a good thing going... why not double it? Double Betty amps up our Betty IPA with the additional of Equinox and Galaxy hops for a huge burst of ripe tropical fruit, citrus, berries, stone fruit, and pine. But really, you already know the most important part: it's the Betty IPA you know and love, doubled up to a whole new level.

On a flight at the Hanger 24 Orange County venue on 5th April 2025. Amber, clean and clear, white crust on top. Hoppy with citrus notes to the fore, piney and earthy bitterness comes in second with a mild malt content coming third and last in the DIPA.

Aromas are fairly standard and straightforward a mix of fresh hops that are a balance between Citrus and resin along with sweet pale malts. Four flavors, there's no question here that the Hops Dominate and bitterness rules. Not in really a bad way because there's enough malt to stand up to it and the Hops are fresh so you get some of that hop flavor, so it all works out pretty well. Excellent body and finish with no off qualities at all great beer.

Bottle from Jane’s. Pours out a bright orange/golden with small bubbly head, which fades to a ring. And then there’s the hops...how appropriate there’s a bomber on the label, as I felt as if my palate just got carpet bombed by the Equinox and Galaxy. Dank and funky, strong hoppy aroma and taste. I like big IPAs, and this one is large. Big hop monster to sip and enjoy.

Bomber from Bine & Vine. Pours coppery gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is tropical/herbal/citrus and maybe a little bit of earth (or it could just be approaching dank). Med + body. Flavor is tropical and citrus. Think it has a zest aspect. Lots of hop. Fairly dry. Pretty bitter! Lots of hop. Might serve as a preservative solution! Good stuff.

32oz growler pours with a near clear copper body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up inviting peach, mango, a touch of strawberry and a danky pine sort of sensation. The taste is smooth and thick and quickly gets into mango, cantaloupe, peach and growing into pine and sticky onion dankness. This is juicy, bitter and spicy. I’m digging this. Thick big and a great sipper.
