Draft at Portland taproom. Near black pour, small soft head, tons of lacing. Light roasty, smoky aroma. Taste adds some nuttiness, more roast grains. Slippery. Lingering bitterness.

Tap at the Portland venue. Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is treacly chocolate. Hint of smoke? Near full bodied. Flavor is treacle, chocolate with earth and lift smoke in the finish. Nice.

On tap at the Brewpub in Portland. Dark brown with a small head. A bit sweet with light roasted malt, chocolate and hints of bacon. Also some caramel in the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a red brown color with a medium white head. A big chocolate ashy nose. The flavor is a fruity malt base, ash, vanilla, some chocolate. Smooth. Solid.
