Bottle, many thanks Koelschtrinker! Hazy amber color with no head. Aroma is breakfast honey, petrol, sweet. Taste is tart, breakfast honey, weird but kinda fun. A touch carbonation. Crazy and wild.

Säuerlicher Beginn von Honig. Cremig, intensiv, vollmundig. Spannende Honig-Süß-Säure Kombi, süffig, etwas trocken. Süffig, langer Nachhall. Speziell. 10/11/11/10//11

Bottle - Lots of perfumy honey. Clearish gold. Perfumy, orange blossom and wonderful light honey notes. Quite fragrant and nice.

Bottle sample (thanks to Marko, then to luttonm, then to fiulijn), pours a clear golden. Aroma brings out subdued low-medium honey sweetness and very floral, wildflower honey. Flavour is fairly sweet, with tons of perfumey, floral, wildflower sweetness, and a little nectar. Not a whole lot of depth, but it is 3.5%, so I'll cut it some slack. Very interesting.

Courtesy of Marko, after perilous smuggling!
Amber color, clean. Strong honey aroma, a bit soapy, with Indian perfume, and minty herbs, very light though. Moderately sweet, this one has a very light but balancing acidity; dark honey flavor, rye bread, a bit astringent in the final.
For this low alcohol, really impressive.

Bottle. Aroma is clean, actual bees wax, really showing off the honey character. Clear golden colour. Taste is very nice, fruity, same waxy natural feeling. Really good, one of the best I had. Easily drinkable but full in flavour.

Bottle kindly shared by Marko. Fruity aroma with honey. Nice fruity, honey taste.

1 l plastic bottle courtesy of Marko, thanks! It poured deep golden body with no legs. Tiny amount of carbonation present. Weaker honey aroma, touch of lemon. Fine, sweetish flavor, decent honey profile, only slightly bitter. Fuller, sticky body with juicy and sweet honey abrupt finish. A decent mead, but misses alcohol that would give more character to fully enjoy it.

Ran into a honey fair in Zagreb again, but not much luck this time with new full strength meads - so I decided to go for this for the first time - a low alcohol type of mead, which is generally made either by diluting full strength mead or by stopping fermentation early, and drunk at special events in the area around Zagreb. There are far more borderline cases here than this so I gave it a go. Poured a slightly hazy old gold colour, bubbles clinging to the edge of the glass. A lovely aroma, full blast of honey, vaguely citric, even some chewing gum (in a good way). The soft taste gives more of the same, a nice perfumey bubblegum-like honey taste, with just a hint of tanginess to keep it from being overbearingly sweet. Traces of fermentation evident. As sweet as one can expect from a 3-4% mead, but still a very pleasant drink! It might even deserve even a .1-.2 more on a purely hedonistic scale, but I’m reluctant to give that as it’s made the way it is and some might find it overbearingly sweet (even if it’s not cloying).
