The Fifth Beer of my #6000 celebration (#5 of 13 - six beers on either side of 6000 and the milestone itself). Crystal clear coloured golden and lightly coppered colour body with a nice four centimetre tall off-white head that fades very quickly. Aroma of cardamom (very noticeable), yeast, light dry spices, alcohol, sugar, oak and way more cardamom and flowers - pungent. Medium to Full-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong alcohol flavours at first with a good deal of sugars and a great cardamom flavour along with some apricots and peaches and finishing with a very dry and oaky floral note. Aftertaste shows the spices front and centre with a good deal of malt present to balance the spices and finishes with a lot of dry and yeastie flavours as well as some bitterness from hops and a good deal of alcohol - but packaged well in the 37,5 cL bottle. Overall, a nice beer that shows a lot of character and a deep set of flavours and smooth complexities make this worth trying if you can find it! I sampled this 37,5 cL wax-topped bottle purchased from Spec’s Liqour in Dallas, Texas on 01-September-2015 for US$6,31 sampled at home in Washington on 09-March-2017. Batch #001, Bottled: 10-November-2014 // Purchased: 01-September-2015 // Sampled: 09-March-2017

Bottle from Whole Foods - Lamar. A little bit of a gush, then pours out with a nice, fluffy head. Cardamom overpowers the aroma and taste, hints of licorice/anise. Nice feel and flavor, although spice pushes this more towards a Saison in taste.
