Bottle from Craft Beer Store, Hamburg. Black with a light brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and light nutty. Flavor is quite sweet, rather bitter and light sour. Dry, moderate bitter and light sour finish. The sour note detracts. 120617

0.33 l bottle from ’Bierpost.com’, best before October 2016. Pitch black with a rather large, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Sweetish-malty, moderately roasty aroma of milk chocolate, light roasted coffee, dark fruits, treacle and caramel. Rather sweet, malty, slightly roasty and quite fruity taste of milk chocolate, light roasted coffee, dark fruits, treacle, some hazelnut and caramel, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter and a little sourish finish. Medium body, quite thin for that abv actually, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Pretty nice, lots of fruits in it, but the mouthfeel is far from being perfect.
