On tap at Fred Fest. Pours a dark brown color with a medium tan head. The aroma is milky ashy chocolate. Rich flavors, vanilla, licorice, dark fruit, ashy roast. Very nice.

On tap at the Boise BP black dark brown with mahogany edges Faint quick head and spotty lacing fruity pitted date and raisin roastiness moderate body and lingering sharp campfire bite. Big enough at 9+ but doesn’t drink that big. Tasty and pleasant

On tap at Boise brewpub. Black pour with small airy beige head. Boozy aroma on top of dark malts. Taste also brings the booze up front. Mild roast grain bitterness lays behind. But make no mistake, this one’s pretty boozy, from aroma to taste to finish.

On tap at 10 barrel boise pours out pitch black topped with a nice tan head. Nose is a nice roast malt rich milk chocolate sweetness a little smoke ash maybe. Taste is more of the roast malts a nice chocolate touch to cut the light coffee bitterness. This new was pretty nice a little thin but a easy drinker at 9.1 so watch out.
