Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy amber color with compact head. The aroma is mild, but the flavor is more potent; the body is lean, would think more in the 7% range, quite food caramel flavor, with a light spicy, peppery note from the ginger, a hint of chocolate, and a light minty touch in the final.
Wisely made, very nice winter warmer.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out pretty pronounced bready malts, with a little of the lime but no ginger. Flavour is more pronounced, with a little ginger, bready malt and a touch of citrus. The adjuncts don't take centre stage; it's more of a bready winter warmer. Not very complex or interesting, but it's decent.

Bomber. Aroma is bready, faint orange candy circus peanuts, sweetbread. Pours clear copper with a medium beige head with good retention; laces a little. Taste is sweet and bready, finishing with a medium bitterness. Tastes a little like caramel corn. I’m not getting any ginger or citrus. I’ve never had a Moscow Mule, so I can’t say how similar this might be, but it seems a little bland with none of the advertised ingredients even hinted at--oh wait, just noticed some faint spicy heat, possibly from the ginger. Overall, not bad, but not terribly interesting.

Bottle from Winco. Nice deep copper body with silky, bubbly head. Aroma recalls fresh hop IPAs, taste adds the ginger and citrus elements, which blend nicely with hops for a snappy, spicy flavor. I really liked this, and its not too far removed from the atypical NW IPA.
