Growler rom Albertsons. Dark brown pour with nice medium fluffy head. Heads lasts and leaves curtains of lacing. Aroma is dark malt, nuts and bit of prunes. Taste brings more malt, with the bitterness coming from the roast, not the hops. The malt masks the ABV well, not even catching any warmth. Smooth and silky with a small bite.

Draft at the brewery. Pours really dark. Tan cream head. Sweet plum aroma. Dark fruit taste with some plum and raisin. Finishes with bold, dark fruit with a slight hop finish. Pretty good.

Sample on draft. Pours cloudy burgandy with a large beige head that lasts forever; leaves nice lace. Aroma is caramel, raisins, boozy...inviting. Taste is malty sweet but not cloying and a little tart; leaves a somewhat bitter taste in the mouth after swallow. This was really good. I don’t know if it’s because I was on the job and got a free sample--free beer always seems to raise anyone’s spirits--or what, but this seems to be underrated on here. I was very much pleased with it.

Draught. Poured dark cloudy red with medium fast dissipating white head. Light malty and caramel aroma. Medium to full body, Roasty malt notes. Malty finish. Good if you come across it. Doesn’t taste as strong as it is.

Tap at Pacific Coast Brewing. Pours dark ruddy brown with a slight creamy tanhead. Aroma is "xmas spice". Near full body. Seems to have juniper. Mild roast malt.Pretty well balanced.
