Aged for 6 months in Wild Turkey® Rye Bourbon Barrels, this rich, luxurious stout boasts aromas of roasted espresso and freshly baked bread; rich chocolate flavors are enveloped with woody, vanilla-like notes and hints of black peppercorn leading to a warming finish.

Draft sample at Brewers Haven. Very dark brown in color with a small brown head. Nose is sweet cocoa and vanilla, roast, and light espresso. Very inviting. Taste is a little less sweet than the nose would suggest, a little more roast and faint hints of whiskey barrel. Lacked the rye presence that I had somehow (and probably erroneously) expected from the rye whiskey barrel, but overall a nice stout. Body a little on the thin side. The level of sweetness and roast is spot on.

On tap at PreFunk. Brilliant up front, but no finish. Light aroma, but huge taste, lots of vanilla. Overall body is kind of watery, and absolutely nothing lingers. Taste is enough for some good marks, but could be a bit more robust in feel and aroma.
