Bottle split at the Grand Reunion Tasting at MM, picked up online from Beer Dome NL, 20/05/21. Deep mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is toffee, light smoke, whisky, caramel fudge, dried fruits. Taste comprises mellow whisky on oak, toffee, fruit slice, light spice, dark malts, raisins. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Not bad.

Bottle shared at Colin's place. Many thanks to Colin. A clear amber brown halo of beige head. Aroma is nutty malts, cereal honey, apple, biscuit. Toffee. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation,. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, caramel, biscuit, toffee. Palate is medium sweet, sticky moderate carbonation. Good.

Bottle. From Beer Republic. Dark brown color. Thin white head. Sweet and bready aroma, some rye, some dark fruits. Warming alcohol. OK.

35,5 cl bottle @ home, bottled 13.02.2020. Thanks olio! Aroma has sweet caramel, toffee candy and chocolate. Flavour has chocolate, some resin, chocolate and biscuity malt. Something between British and American BW. Has also features from scotch ale, imperial brown ale and doppelbock. Nicely balanced; rich but not too sweet.

Dark, dark brown with a beige head. Toffee aroma with smoke and a big dose of garden earth.Taste is sweet on a big malt body. Quite chewy. Dryer with a mild, smokey bitterness at the end. Pleasant sipping 20 years after 7/7/00.

Borefts 2019 - Almost black with thin head. Lots of malt body and sweetness. Full bodied and well rounded.

Sampled at Borefts 2019, Friday. A clear orange brown beer. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, nuts, pine. Taste of dark moderate sweet caramelized malt, nuts, red fruits, pine needles.

Tap. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma is a bit grainy, herbal, not too crazy. Taste is the same. Oily mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Alright.
