Bottle, 0.65l, shared with Sima, David, Pier & nonni. Aroma of caramel, nuts, dark fruit and resinous hops. Pours dark brown color with thin creamy light brown head and fair lacing. Taste starts with moderate sweet toasted malt, caramel and nuts, following is hoppy, fruity, woody and piney with smooth mouthfeel and average bitter finish. Full body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Walk of life…

Imponerende bra start, men med litt varme utvikler den seg i mer kompleks og utfordrende retning. Mye tre og vinøst med et visst bourbon-preg.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 8 May 2022) Dark reddish brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, vinous nose with notes of caramel, dried fruit and figs. Malty taste with caramel, toffee, chocolate, dried fruit, raisins, prunes, figs and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Full body, quite sweet. Smooth, warming, tasty. Well balanced for its strength. Very nice.

Bomber dated January 2018. It pours deep mahogany brown with a decent beige head. The aroma is rich malt character, brown bread, dried fruits, fruit cake, spicy, umami, subdued aged vibes akin to marmite, nutty, oily, resinous, plum, date, prune, earthy, damp wood, toffee and malt loaf. The taste is slick, oily, toothy, chewy, dryness, light bitterness, dried fruits, nutty, cacao, praline, malt loaf, fruit cake, Eccles cake, plum, date, prune, damp oak, light tannin, spice, touch of leather, earth and a splash of Dr Pepper with a dry, toasty finish. Medium+ body and moderate, quite airy carbonation. Has a bit of age for, but it's an enjoyable level.

Bottle split at the Grand Reunion Tasting at MM, picked up online from Beer Dome NL, 20/05/21. Deep mahogany brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is toffee, light smoke, whisky, caramel fudge, dried fruits. Taste comprises mellow whisky on oak, toffee, fruit slice, light spice, dark malts, raisins. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a kiss of alcohol. Not bad.
