Tonya Cornett’s Cerveza Negra comes in at 4.5% ABV, and Tonya says, “Cerveza Negra stands out in the Battle of the Beers because it’s not another cloying IPA and is truly the most difficult to make. A touch malty, finishing crisp, refreshing and super tasty. This would be the first beer picked out of the box by a brewer!”

Well it's to style at least. A dark beer without any of the dark roast flavours. Like in mexico. 10 barrel portland ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle from the Brewer’s battle 12 pack. Pours a clear mahogany color with a small white head. A nice soft toffee and toast nose. A light body, smooth toast, caramel, big toffee, a light fruity base. Pretty nice. Smooth. Could drink many.

On tap at Boise location. A bit of a let down, easy to drink, but not much substance. Dark, a faint bit of roast grain bitterness, kind of watery. Easy drinker, but bland.

On tap at Boise pub. Pours out a amber color topped with a sand head. Nose is light roast muted hops and a bread touch. Taste is more of the light roast malts easy hops and some cereal.

On Tap at the boise BP Rich dark amber with a short lived tan hed. Typical toasted malt arom and flavors. Some coffee and woody bitteriness and a touch of cinnamon or other spice. Mellow smoot palate. A step up for the Mexi-lagers that fill the grocery store shelves.
