On tap at the Bend brewery Very nice clear mahogany with a thin ring faint light toasted malt More of that in the flavor with some caramel and earthiness a bit of a papery taste at the end Malty and smooth

Growler from Berts. Nice scotch ale, dark brown with a ruby tinge. Small to nonexistent head. Sweet, nutty aroma leads more of the same in taste. Solid, slightly sticky brew.

From sampler at the brewery. Clear copper pour, beige foam. Biscuity, caramel aroma. Sweet and malty, light peat, alcohol noticeable in taste. Good. 7,3,8,4,17

On tap at Barley Brown’s Baker City. Pours out a amber topped with a small head. Aroma is of malt, light smoke, and peat. Taste is of caramel sweetness and a touch of smoked peat.
