This brew has developed it’s own following in our community. We believe this to be our coup d’ grace. The Midnight boasts our largest malt bill, combining a multitude of our specialty roasts with a twist of wheat malt, which gives it it’s creamy consistency. Extremely bold and flavorful, you’ll not forget this experience. Can you handle the Satin tonight?

On tap at portneuf brewing. Pours out black topped with a small tan head. Nose is toast rich malts cocoa anise and a little coffee. Taste is more of the nice roast malt chocolate and licorice. This is the best offering from portneuf I have had.

On tap at the Mountain Brewers’ Fest 2013. Pours a pure black color with a medium beige head. The aroma is light cocoa and big diacetal. The flavor is also dominated by butter, some chocolate and ash. Could have been nice. It wasn’t.

On tap at the Barley Bros Brew Fest, Meridian ID. Deep black with a small tan head. Full dark roasty aroma and plenty of roasted and some anise on the young. A slight chalky feel and a moderate. Bitter bite at the end

Draft: Dark brown pour with a finger of tan head. Nose is full of espresso and roast with light chocolate. The taste is in perfect harmony with the aroma. Nice weight too. Finished roasty and lightly bitter. Good.
