500 ml bottle. Deep honey gold color. Moderate foamy beige head. Nice clinging lace. Faint malty nose has vegetal notes. Upfront, sweet bready maltiness with light caramel notes. Mild and smooth middle, with a hint of toasted white bread. Spicy floral hops in finish.

The beer starts malty-sweetish. A bit watery and highly drinkable. Malty sweet in the mainpart, not very bitter in the end.
Nice maltier Festbier, but nothing special! --> 10/11/9/10

Süßlich würziger, leicht herber Antrunk. Süffig auch im Mittelteil ohne große Veränderungen, spritzig, harmonisch. Würziger Nachhall, etwas erdig und karamellig. 11/12/12/10/10/11

30/12/2013. BOTTLE 50 CL.
Look: clear amber with an off-white medium creamy head with below average retention.
Aroma: malt-driven, light toffee, malty, some harsher sulfury notes.
Taste: light sweetness, toffee, light bitterness with some zesty accents.

09/07/2014. Same batch, half a year later.
The sulfur has gone and now you have bold malty, biscuity, sweet (almost cloying) beer with almost no hop balance.

Bottle. Golden colour with a white head. aroma is fruit, hop, malt. Flavour is sweet, fruit, malt, hop, yeast, alcohol. OK beer.

Bottle. Pours with a clear golden body and a small eggshell white head. Decent retention. Aromas are complex malt structure, some melanoidins, baked bread, honey biscuit, a touch grainy and somewhat sweet. A hint of alcohol. Clean fermentation. Possibly a bit oxidized. Flavors are malty, sweet up front, crisp finish with a bit of balancing bitterness. Malt forward, melanoidins, bready, toasty, clean. A touch warming for a Marzen, creamy body with somewhat lively carbonation. Not bad.
