Bottle picked up from Schönramer brewery shop and consumed at home Sunday 11th February 2024 listening to Dead Bandits - Memory Thirteen after nipping into Schönberg and watching Fasching/Karneval. We're cooking Chicken Dauphinoise with Dijon and Cream later. Pours clear gold with a mid sized white head, clean, malty, honey throughout but with a little herby undercurrent. This is very nice.

500ml bottle. Crystal clear, orangey golden colour with averge, thick, creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally strawy and grainy, mellow malty aroma, a touch of honey and pear, grassy and minimally waxy hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty, diluted hints of caramel, a touch of honey, cereals, some hop bitterness; smooth, silky and soft palate, gentle carbonation. Very clean - laconic.

Bottle(@Metro Bürgerbräukeller): Deep golden, white and stable head; sweet pale-malty to bready-bisquity nose, low hoppiness, some fruity spots; moderate sweet flavour, low bitterness, medium bodied; slightly lingering sweet malty finish. Not bad, but this "diluted Heller Bock" lacks the balancing hops…
