On tap at Bend pub. Pours out a amber topped with a sand head. Nose is peat caramel sweetness and some tropical fruit. Taste is more of the peat with a nice touch of hops.

Another top choice from the flight, dark and rich, brown murky body. Aroma and taste of peat, wood, musty. Nutty, yet mildly sweet, a classic scotch ale.

Tap at the brewery, 23/05/13. Lightly hazed chestnut brown with a thin beige head. Nose is dark malt, dark toffee, sugars, light smoke. Taste comprises a big smokey kick, peat, caramel, toffee, sugars. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, light smokey note in the finish. Not a fan of Scotch/Scottish ales, if such a thing really exists, but the peaty smokey gig amidst this one made it enjoyable.
