On tap at Papa Joe’s- Boise. Pours light amber with weak head, aroma is mostly malt, lightly hopped, mildly spicy. Decent but not great.

on tap-pours a rich tan head that laces and brown color. Aroma is rich/sweet medium malt-toffee/brown sugar. Taste is rich/sweet medium malt-toffee/brown sugar, secondary earthy.

On Tap at the brewpub. Very dark amber. More like a bock. Very nice full sandy colored head. PLenty of long lasting lacing. Aroma is dark, woody, with roasted malts and only slight bitterness. Flavor was similar, again, quite dark for the stlye. A robust, heavy amber that has a nice hop/malt profile. Tasty.

Loved the color in this brew - dark amber with reddish tones and a small tan head. Very strong maltiness with subtle roasty tones and some caramels. Not much hop presence, but overall a solid amber ale.
