500ml bottle from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Dark gold and clear with a small film of white head. Gentle honey and grainy aroma, with sweet malt and fino sherry notes. Taste is sweet and warming with some balancing astringency in the middle of the sip, leading to a more even finish. Agave syrup in the aftertaste with a bit of bitterness in the back of the tongue. Medium to heavy carbonation. Very drinkable.

Pours a perfectly transparent clear amber to dark golden. A quite big white head shows ok retention and a bit of lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: cereal, white bread, honey, a touch of fruitiness (apple). Clean and well defined. Taste is medium to high in sweetness and medium to low in bitterness. Good balance in the mouth with a sweet, lightly fruity edge in a still clean finish and aftertaste. Taste notes as per aroma. Medium body, light to medium carbonation. There's a bit of warming feel, but nothing that compromises the beer's very good drinkability. Overall, a good heller bock, perfectly true to style standards. Felt maybe a bit too standard.

Bottle picked up from the hier-gibts-bier.de webshop, Eckersdorf, Bayern, Deutschland and consumed at home Sunday 7th March 2021 cooking Chicken Parm Roll-Ups in the Wood Oven and also homemade Ciabatta, we're on a Zoom call with Scott and Dad. Pours almost copper in colour, actually it is copper, good clarity with a white head. Nice maltiness, a little honey, biscuit and the abv is so well hidden, subtle hoppiness and bitterness mostly on the finish. Nice beer.

Bottle, deep golden color. Malt, cake dough and boiled milk in the aroma. Sweet, malty but also alcoholic flavor. Earthy hops and milk. Hint of licorice. Medium bodied. Somehow you can really taste this is a bock from a very small farmhouse brewery.

Bottle, very light gusher. Clear amber color with tan head. Aroma is cooked peas, cauliflower, honey malts - this is unfortunate. After a couple of minutes, the aroma got rid of the flavours that remind me of DMS. Taste is honey, bready, comparably sweet. Warming finish. Velvety mouthfeel with high, but very soft, carbonation. Maybe I should revisit this at some point.

Bottle. Amber, low carbonation, low head. Dusty, boiled grain and light corn, grassy hops. Fullbodied, chewy, mellow mouthfeel. Sweet grain, honey, fatty fruit, light Xmas spices, ok hop balance. Overall subdued, but quite quaffable.

Verhältnismäßig maischig in der Nase, im Trunk alkoholisch, kräftig, leichte Süße, Malz, nicht ganz einfach zu trinken.
