Bottle @ Føtex øl festival. 2012 vintage. Pours dark brown with a small offwhite head. Aroma of malt, gingerbread, spice. Flavor is malt, coffee, chocolate, x-mas spices. Medium body, soft carbonation. 241112

2012 vintage. 12 ounce bottle. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a small creamy beige head. Rich roasted malt aroma hints at molasses and port wine. Soft roasted malt flavor. Figs, raisins, prunes and chocolate come to mind. Their is an earthy, woody component as well. Subtle bitter hops in finish. Creamy mouthfeel from start to finish. Spices are noticeable, yet undiscernable. Still one of the best Christmas beers of all.
