Bottled on November 13, 2017. As a blind tasting. I think it was purchased at Landbierparadies, online shop.Clear dark red to brown color, tan head. Wort like, spicy, herbal hoppy scent, lacks some malt depth, feels a tad oxidized. Dark bread, hoppy herbal, feeling oxidized taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium low bitterness.4/4/4/3/9=2.4

Dark red brown (very dark) with little coarse light brown head. Aroma is walnuts licorice, caramel, toffee. Not very much aroma. Taste is well rounded with sweetness of dark fruits together with a little roasty bitterness. Mouthfeel is actually quite thin. Much carbonation with watery body. However medium long finish with more licorice and sweetness. Overall OK.

0,5 l bottle from Kristall-König. Thanks a lot! A darkest red brown in the glass, small light tanned head. More nuts than malt on the nose. Starts dark malty, roasted, coffie, caramell and nuts, sweetness. Longlasting taste. Maybe some salty hints in the background. Nice one!

Fürst Carl Dunkel, 5,2 %, vom Faß im Schwarzen Bären, Weißenburg i.Bay. (20.5.2021.)

The beer starts smooth and fresh. Not too sweetish, nice hints of roast appear. The body is malty-roasty, medium dry, nice malt there. Hints of burned sugar in the aftertaste, moderate bitterness, the beer gets dryer with a very nice maltiness around. Nice dry roasty finish with dry burned sugars and a nice bitterness. Nice and solid Dunkel!
