Taste true liquid luxury in this decadent and nuanced Belgian-style quad. Pear and apricot aromas blend with caramel, fruit and spice flavors in the full-bodied amber ale.

Warming alcohol notes mix with a lot of fruity fermentation profile on the nose. Big and bold, this beer is a boozy, savory treat. Rich caramel, clove, banana warming.

Bottle at Flying Saucer Beerfeast. Pours a cloudy orange with small white head leaving spotty lacing along the glass. The aroma is floral hop and pine. Medium mouthfeel with a sweet hop and pine with light bitter finish. Hides alcohol well, a good Belgian strong ale from Victory.

Bottle at my Cousins house, PA - 20/05/12. Golden amber colour with a thin ring of white head. Sweet fruit nose, pear, apricot, grapes, sweet malt, bready cake - mix, spice. Fruity taste although not as sweet in character as the nose. Candied sugar, caramel malt, spices, cloves. Full boided but very smooth and drinkable. Alcohol is well disguised but you can’t miss a warming alcohol feeling in the finish.

750 ml corked bottle. Bottled on 11/14/2011. Hazy orange color filled with millions of champagne-like tiny bubbles. Brief white head. Fragrant sweet grapefruit malt aroma, you can smell the alcohol. Sweet cotton candy flavor mixed with a huge alcohol mouthfeel. Bitter hop prescence stays with you. I want to like this, but it is rough and out of balance. Maybe it will mellow with some cellaring.

2008 bottle. Rather oxidized flavor of honey, raisins, apricot and other fruits. Bready and full. Nice, but did not age quite as well as I had hoped. A bit too much oxidation.

65cl Bottle, thanks Harmen&Kevin! Amber colour, white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, light spicy, alcohol, fruity. Flavour is sweet, malty, ripe fruits, light spicy, warming alcohol, some toffee, quite a bitter finish as well. Medium to fullbodied, slick. Good stuff, a nice sipper.

Sampled from a 750ml brown corked bottle this beer poured a cloudy orange-caramel color with a large very creamy orange-tan head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was sweet sugar, caramel, ripe golden fruits and vodka. The flavor was strong tangy candied golden fruits, sugar, bread, caramel and pepper. There was a moderate booziness throughout. The finish was long and tangy with lingering sugar and fruit. Full bodied. Nice.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 08/18/2011. This beer pours a hazy reddish-copper color with a medium light tan head that diminishes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of grainy malt, yeast and spices. Full body with flavors of sweet malt, spices, hops and some tart fruit. The finish is sweet malt and candied fruits and leaves a yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

750mL bottle, split with manuchampions, pours dark golden orange with a small white head. Aroma of Belgian spices, yeast, barnyard funk and a light fruitiness. Flavour is quite spicy, bubblegum, apple and candied sugar. High carbonation with a sweet finish. Most excellent.
