Bottled 330ml. -Almost black coloured, medium sized brownish head, roasty nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, notes of coffee and caramel with moderate strong alcohol presence. Dryish roasty finish. Something is missing here.

Pours virtually black from the bottle with a somewhat bubbly porous crown that soon subsides into lacing. Aroma is coffee and burnt malt, with a light berry hint underneath it all. Taste is roasted malt with some licorice and a light fruity undertone. Finish is bitter, almost acrid. Decent stuff. 08/17: overall as above, but with a more pleasant finish without the acrid notes. Good. Upping from 3.2 to 3.5

Bottle: Nearly black, medium-sized off-white lacy head; mild to moderate sweetish-sourish nose of peat and roasted malt, some caramel underneath; moderate bitter-sourish flavour, medium bodied; dryish peaty and fruity-toasty finish. Could be better rounded…
