Tasted as Erdinger Oktoberfest Huge, dense & fine yellowish head over cloudy golden-orange beer. Milky/lactic nose; obvious wheat, some banana and garden herbs, even some hops. Bitterish, again hoppy-flowery flavour; overlying the more classical spicy-wheatflavours. Definitely different! Feels very carbonated, freshening up the wheatslickness. Medium bodied. Definitely better than average Hefeweizen.

Bottle. Pours hazy light amber with airy white head. Light aroma of hop and grain. Hoppy and grainy taste with a touch of malt. Slightly bitter aftertaste. Not bad, but not very impressive either.

Clear dark yellow to light orange beer, creamy big white head, pretty stable, adhesive. Aroma: sweet malts, bit sugary, little spicy, orange peel. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: little bitter, malty, some hay, citrus, orange peel. Aftertaste: bitter hops, bit malty, sweet. Where da banana at?

Half liter bottle, as Oktoberfest, thanks to Finn. Poured into a slim and tall weizen glass. Densely packed, white tophead slowly fading over a golden coloured body with a standard wheat haze. Restrained aroma of bread and sweet wheaty fruits. Sweet grain and wheat in flavour added by a backdrop of citrus. Dry and sweet ending. Soft carbonated. Gets rather sweet and has got soft drink reminiscence. Quite possible to drink, though (Tromsø, 13.10.2012).

From a 500ml bottle on 12/10/2012. Pours a cloudy medium straw colour with a big white fluffy head. Has a very slight wheaty, chemical aroma. Taste wise, this is odd. It has some characteristics of a hefe, but they are exceptionally muted. The main flavour is sweet citrus, with just the tiniest hint of bitterness. The palate is quite thick. Disappointingly bland.

Flaske 0,5l fra Alko Muonio. Merket Oktoberfest. Drukket hjemme 28 Sep 12. Lys aprikosfarget med et høyt skum som daler etter ei lita stund. Uklart. Beskjeden sitrusaroma. Smaken er søt. Litt banan og litt krydder. Svakt søtlig tørr ettersmak. Burpeøl. Hveteøl under pari. Vasken stakk av gårde med brorparten.

Smell of tar and a faint of coffee. Cloudy lemonade colour, extreme white head. Aroma starts of citric, then goes over to alcoholic, then yeasty. Rather sharp in alcohol taste. Surprisingly flat carbon. Heavy sweetness empowered by alcohol level. Despite all this still rather watery.

From Cotteridge Wines; part 4 of 6 Oktoberfest I’m pretty bored of reviewing German beers now they are all pretty similar yellow lager like and refreshing although this added a cloudy pour spin bring it on Erdinger.
