Dark, intense and full-flavoured, it is our tribute to the Vikings and their cultural legacy in Orkney. The first thing to touch the islands would have been their long ship's Dragonhead.

Dragonhead is brimming over with rich roast malt and roast barley flavours. Aromas of bitter chocolate, roast coffee and spicy dark fruits are complemented by a complex, bitter blend of hop varieties.

Hops: Challenger, East Kent Goldings
Malts: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Malted Wheat, Black, Roasted Barley

Cask at the Blue Dolphin, Hastings. Pitch black in colour with a loose tan head; aroma of richly roasted malts, burnt sugar and a touch of smoke; rather thinly bodied, the flavour is dominated by the heavily roasted, almost charred, malts, and is dry and bitter with a little dark chocolate and strong coffee showing through towards the end. Good, but perhaps a touch over roasted.

Cask at the Hand in Hand, Brighton. It pours opaque black, with a decent beige head. The nose is smoke, bacon, salted liquorice and burnt caramel. The taste is charcoal, wood, smoke, caramel, toasted, salted liquorice and soy sauce, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Tasty stuff.

Stout på 4% som är kraftigt rostad men har en lätt kropp. Relativt torr och lite syrlig, lättdrucken och rena fina smaker.

0.5l bottle @ Henrik, Bergen. This one pours a black body with a nice medium sized creamy tanned head. Aroma has lots of chocolate, roasted malts and coffee. Also some hints of dark sweet fruits. Soft carbonation, medium-bodied and it has a nice smooth and almost creamy mouthfeel. Flavors are also blended with chocolate, mild roasted malts and thin coffee. It ends with chocolate paper and leaving a light ashy and roasted aftertaste. A really mild, smooth and delicious mild stout.
