Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of liquorice, black shoe polish, wood, booze, prunes. Taste is more liquorice and wood, very woody up front. Dark fruit coming through on the finish. Wish I’d had more time to enjoy this!

Draught@CBC2015. More or less black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head which stays for quite a while. Aroma is nicely smoked with some mild spices, chocolate, toffee, liquorice, alcohol sweetness and mild ripe fruity notes. Flavour is quite similar, but the smoked notes get a bit peated like. More mellow than the Ardbeg BA.
