2009 bottle 2766 of 3000, thanks for this gem Savvy1982! Pours thick black, like oil. Coats the glass in a haze, leaves a dark brown fluffy head. Aroma is outstanding, rich coffee notes, cocoa nibs, bourbon out the ass, strong oak. Flavor is burnt sugar, caramel, evaperated milk, sweet tobacco and bourbon with lingering vanilla. Near perfection.

2009 bottle sampled a the 2010 March Metro Detroit tasting. Poured black with a small brown head. Aroma had notes of dark grains and roasted coffee bean and an undertone of bourbon. Flavor had some sweeter grain notes, but there was still a dark grain and coffee presence and just a hint of alcohol.

Bottled (10%), thanks tytoanderso! Very black, rich beige head. Huge vanilla and bourbon aroma. Sweet and soft, full bodied with lots of bourbon and sugar. Pleasant and soft in it’s transitions from vanilla to chocolate and coffee/tar to peppery alcohol. Huge on bourbon. An intense, very good attention grabbing stout.
