When we released Blushing Monk in July of 2011, we hadn’t put it out in four years. People had been begging for it. And we decided that a decadent Belgian Raspberry Ale would be a great, unexpected way to kick off our 750mL Backstage Series.
Blushing Monk was brewed with a ridiculous amount of raspberries and with a Belgian yeast strain that kept our head cellarman from sleeping for a week. It pours a stunning deep berry red and, at 9.2% ABV, has a surprising kick. The perfect dessert beer, it can be enjoyed on its own or paired with fresh cheeses, fruit, cakes, and more.

Raspberry mousse with a tart twist, light at 1st but gets sweet & tart with cherries and overripe raspberries. Oak, flavor is long.
