330ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige head. Cautious, sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, a tart-ish touch of oak, whiffs of vanilla. Taste is roasty dark malty, minimally oaky, a touch of liquorice, vanilla; smooth, soft, silky palate. Quite sophisticated but with a considerable lack of intensity.

Bottle: Very dark amber coloured, small and stable tanned head, mild to moderate sweetish-bitter toasty-roasty nose, coffee, cacao and traces of dried berries in the background; moderate bitter-sweet flavour with a light acidity, medium bodied and pretty soft; lingering bitter-sweet finish of chocolate and toasted malt, gets even drier and a bit hoppier towards the aftertaste. Not great, but well drinkable, though....

BKL2016. Dark brown, offwhite head. Light roast aroma Fruity malt base with broad roast notes. Very nice malt base with plenty of fruit notes, fitting grassy hops. More of a Vienna than a stout, quite pleasant though
