Lawless our maverick brew follows the 500- year-old Bavarian brewing law to achieve traditional purity using only four ingredients. We then added a blend of Pilgrim, El Dorado and Styrian Goldings hops. With Pilsner Malt, Wheat Malt, Caragold, lager yeast and our own mineral rich local water. Coolly lagered for 40 days – oh, and we slipped in a dash of hops, whilst no one was looking – for a sharp, citrusy kick.

20/6/2019. Draught at Sandford Park Alehouse, Cheltenham. Poured hazy golden with a small off-white head. Aroma of hops, straw, grain and citrus. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body. Was ok.

Half-pint, keg at Shakespeare (Lower Temple Street). Filmy white layer, spotty lacing, misty golden body. Pale malty aroma with citric notes. Rather moderate taste of bread and distant citrus. Discreet bitter ending. Easy going. (Birmingham 06.07.2018).

Tap. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is bready, citrus. Taste is citrus, pale malts, a bit tangy, medium carbonation, refreshing. A bit too edgy.

330ml can. Pours slightly hazy gold with a large, frothy head. Aroma is soft minerals. Taste is sweet with minerals. Stony finish. Touch of grass.
