Sample during Blarney Wine Festival on 03/17/2012. The beer is a dark reddish-mahogany color with a medium light beige head that dissipates steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Roast malt, fruit and hops in the nose. Full-bodied with flavors of roasted malt, caramel, spiced fruit and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Good Barley Wine all around.
