Sample during Blarney Wine Festival on 03/17/2012. The beer is a dark reddish-amber color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to a film. Sparse patches of lacing. Malty aroma with fruit and hop notes. Full-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, spiced fruit and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Good Barley Wine overall.
