6/2/2026. Cask at the 16th Elysian Winter Beer Festival. Pours fine. Aroma is quite veggie, stewed fruits. Wasn't a festival highlight.

Half-pint, cask ale at Bell & Crown, shared with Finn. Dark brownish body, low beige head, spotty lacing. Smell of toffee and leafy hops. Similar taste profile of toffee, leafy hops and bread-like malts. Bittersweet ending, mid-dry. Like it. (Canterbury 11.02.2023).

Bottle, many thanks Andrew! Hazy dark amber color with white head. Aroma is toffee, earthy, herbal hops, berries. Taste is the same, with a distinct bitterness in the finish. Silky mouthfeel, comparably high carbonation. Ok.

Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk dregs run. Appearance - deep hazy amber. Nose - stewed apple but predominantly malt bag. Taste - light toffee, wholemeal bread. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Overall - not bad, but would like some bitterness either via biscuit malt or hops. Lacking in both.
