50 cl bottle. Pours clear and golden orange with a small off white head. Aroma is overripe fruity and toasted malty. Metallic, toasted and dark malty. Roasted finish.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Dark, Amber color with a fluffy, off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted notes, caramel malts, coffee, chocolate and herbal hops. Taste is sweet. Medium body. Finishes dry with rye bread and licorice.

Bottle@Borups - dark brown with off white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, toasty, light roasty, some cocoa and some caramel notes, sweet malty finish.

Dark brown colored, ruby hue, small to medium beige head, not very lasting. Aroma is of caramel, Munich malt, honey, bit of toasted bread. Taste follows the nose, caraMunich malt, medium+ sweet, honeyish, nutty, some toast, bready, low+ herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, somewhat sticky.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown black color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel aroma. Fruity malty caramel grainy weak bready flavor. Has a fruity malty grainy caramel finish.

Tap at Huett’n. Lovely dark brown with crimson tints and a fine head. Nose of chocolate, cream, caramel. Sweet, chocolatey flavor, creamy, lightly bitter finish. Suffig. A bit too sweet, but very tasty.

Day 2 of the Bamberg Jolly 25/01/2014. Bottle from the brewery shared on the train. Clear dark brown amber colour with some red tones. Cream head. Aroma is malty caramel, some yeast, lager yeast. Flavour is caramel, light roast touch, raisin, and woody rum. Nice beer, pretty complex malts.

Diverse Flaschen und vom Faß (in der Hütt’n, Nürnberg). - Tiefes Kastanienbraun, klar. - In der Nase schönes Röstmalz, Karamel, leichte pikante Säure, aber auch eine eigenartige fruchtig-kräuterwürzige Note, die an obergärige Biere erinnert. - Der Antrunk ist weich, mit vollem aber rundem Röstmalz (eher Coca Cola als Kaffee). Milde Karamelsüße, fein austariert mit pikanter Säure. Schwach rezent; beinahe dünnes Mundgefühl. Mäßig bitterer Abgang mit einem Hauch von krautigem Hopfen, der sich mit weicher Süße (Pflaumenmus, Banane) beißt. Milder Nachtrunk, röstmalzbitter, nicht hopfenbitter. - Voller im Aroma als die meisten Schwarzbiere (eher ein dunkles Frankenlager), aber auf Dauer zu malzlastig und zu schwach gehopft.

0.5l bottle. Dark reddish brown body, off-white head. Aroma of toast, caramel and some roasted malts. Taste of toast, hay, caramel, bread, roasted malts and some floral hops. Medium body and carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink. I like it.
