Flavor is light sweet, light tart, malty, caramel, dark chocolate, tart oak, wet wood, cognac, alcohol. Medium body, soft carbonation, sweet and light tart oaky finish with warming alcohol. 301216

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting, my place. Nice creamy head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate, brandy, wood, fruits, coffee and hops. Light boozy finish.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Black with a brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, wood and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and rather bitter. Dry and rather bitter finish with warming alcohol. Seems a lot thinner than the bourbon version, which we had next to it. 301216

Bottle at cgarvieuk tasting. Appearance - opaque black with a nice brown head. Nose - dank and savoury. Dark chocolate. Very creamy. Woody. Taste - lovely creamy chocolate. Very light booze night. Palate - medium to full bodied with a creamy texture and a long elegant finish. Overall - good beer. Lacks individual personalit but good.
