Good looking orange amber color with one finger head. Active carbonation keeps head sustained. Aroma:caramel, dough, bread. Taste:light sweetness, medium bitterness, Palate:medium body, slick feel, bitter. Right in the ballpark for a german kellerbier.

Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass quite dark, nice head. Starts mild, fine malty, modest dry. More and more spicy with a soft sourish touch. Finish with some earthy notes, well balanced. Nice!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Ambery orange colour, small off-white head. Aroma is bready malts, some wood, slight floral and fruity notes as well. Flavour is fruits, toffee, caramel and some slight floral notes. Pleasantly balanced and refreshing brew.. Gets better as it warms up from being fridgecold.

8/9/10/10/8/10

Swing top bottle 500ml (BB 09/2010)
Courtesy of bierkoning, tu Edo! Deep hazy amber color, small off-white head. Toasted caramel, grains, some malts. Medium-bodied. Caramelly, even toffeish flavor, light hoppyness in the finish. Soft palate. A bit past its prime, but still pretty ok. Fresh from tap probably excellent.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A slightly hazy, orange-golden beer with an off-white head. Fruity and malty nose with hints of banana and butterscotch, but not at annoying levels. Sweet, caramel flavor with fruits and some bitterness. Nice bitterness in the finish with some malty sweetness to balance it. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. Almost sticky sweet actually, yet again not in an annoying way. A quite nice beer that I wouldn’t mind drinking again. 090821
