Our Steam Lager is one of our most popular lines and you’re likely to see it on tap in many different establishments around Norfolk and beyond. Technically our Steam Lager is a hybrid beer – which means it’s brewed with lager yeast, but at ale temperatures. Combined with our special selection of hops – including Cascade and Bravo – this gives it a special malty quality with notes of citrus, as well as a deep caramel colour. We’ve gone the extra mile to give Steam Lager that special little something to set it apart from the rest.

Bright clear gold beer, untidy short bubbly white head. Palate is light and mildly crisp. Clear malt, light. Touch of ripe orange. Light finish. Not bad but I want my lagers crisper than this.

Keg at Westow House. It pours clear amber with a medium white head. The nose is toasty, orange sponge cake, citrus peel, floral and a touch of soap. The taste is crisp, doughy, pine, caramel, metallic twang and a touch of floral with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. Good balance and very drinkable. Nice work.

Draft at Craft Beer Rising 2014 - Brick Lane, London. Pours clear yellow-gold with a white cream head. Good stuff. Lightly sweet with grainy pale malts and rindy citrus. Hay, too. Light bodied with average carbonation. Crisp finish with moderately assertive grassy bitterness and decent offsetting pale bread sweetness. Good one.
