Big slightly fizzy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly grainy, caramel malts, wet grain, alcohol, almond essence, yeast, soil, hay, sugar. Taste is very harsh boozy, caramel malts, sugar, alcohol, almond essence, roasted harsh grain, hay, yeast, chocolate. Longlasting harsh bitterness. Drain pour!

Fra flaske ombord på Fridtjofen des-13: mørk rav med kort skum. Gjennom maltaromaen fornemmer jeg røde bær, som også gjør seg gjeldende i smaken sammen med litt rosiner (?). Ganske tørr finish.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a beige head. Herbal, medicinal aroma. Rich body, quite some caramel but also a load of not so pleasant phenols and other chemicals. Has an odd ashy edge and a little perfume. But it’s the phenols that spoil most of the fun. 111213
