Ruby brown. Fairly dense off-white head and lacing. Aroma of star anis, ginger, other spices, blackcurrants and used cooking oil. Similar, and overwhelming taste. Aftertaste is also similar and not good. Unbalanced and unattractive.

0.33l bottle. Love the name. The pour on this is deep dark definitely brown looking and it has a medium sized deep beige colored head. On the nose it has a nice good amount of fruity sweetness. Yeast? Yeah, definitely and it's loaded with dark sweet candied sugar. Is it some sort of Belgian yeast going on here perhaps? Ripe banana sweetness with dates and brown sugar. I somewhat like it, but it gives me an impression that this is going to be one cloying sweet tasting brew. Well, it's actually not. Quite fizzing and big bubbly on the bubbles and it has a mild oily feeling in the mouth. It just has to be some sort of quad this. A nice purple berry sweetness here with prunes, dates and a little raisins. More dark sweet candied sugar, but it's definitely not too sweet or cloying. Lots of flavor, not even a hint of the relatively high alcohol percentage and even in its perhaps lacking some of that deep depth some of these amazing quads sometime has, it's all in all a quite good one! 01.11.2013

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Murky dark brown, no head. Aroma of black currant and yeasty marzipan. Sweet with full body and rock hard mouthfeel. Floral and yeasty with metal and resin. Alcoholic inky finish. Aggressive and unrefined, as most beers from Stronzo.

Faktisk heltid god, etter bange anelser over bryggeri, navn og design. Kunne hatt mer sødme og mindre bitterhet.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet Langnes. Decent off-white head, fragile lacing. Deep mahogany coloured body. Ash, earth, spices – and meat on the nose. Dried fruity taste of prunes, raisin and plums. Notes of meat. Jam-like. Dry bitter tail with alcohol. Near full bodied. Alright, far from great though (Tromsø 25.12.2013).

Re-rate, 330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 9%. Cloudy dark brown colour, pours fizzy with a shortlived off-white head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, brown malts, brown sugar, cold weak coffee and dust. The flavour has much the same elements, but for me the coffee notes "crash" with the more "Belgian" elements. The beer appears unbalanced, and is not something I will buy again. For once I lower the score upon a second tasting. Original rating: Sample from bottle at local tasting, blind test. Aroma could have been better. The flavour is decent enough, but I am not ecstatic. Will rerate as soon as I get a full bottle.
