Next up, a lager. There are two schools of thought here, you can either keep it classic and nail the colours of Germany or the Czech Republic to the mast, or you can freestyle. Lost Lager is the best of both worlds. BrewDog Head of Production Jason Pond has spent months dialling in a brand new dry-hopped pilsner that has, at its heart, two secret weapons.
The first is the contemporary German hop variety Saphir – renowned for a vibrancy of citrus and stone fruit. The second is the deployment of lager yeast from the world-beating Weihenstephan. Conditioned for 28 days, Lost Lager is destined to be a crisp, clean pilsner with hints of spice and a zesty lime marmalade character. Prepare to lose yourself at the end of the month.

Draught at KØ19. Clear shiny golden colour. White head. The flavour is floral and refreshing. 6 3 6 3 15 Can, 4.7%. Delicate floral aroma. Almost clear pale yellow colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is malty, slightly bready, has a faint hint of citrus, mild floral hop. Low bitterness. 6 3 6 3 15

330ml can in Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury on 11th May 2019. Decent enough thirst quenching lager/Pilsener. Clear and clean, bright golden pour, fast fading white head on top. Light citrus leanings with a mild floral/herbal undertone.

Well, is this $2 pounder can from vintage a lager or is it a pilz, heheheh. Nice clean looking pale yellow pour with a bright white head. Yes, first impressions are sharp old country pilz. Gets sharper in the middle, almost becomes annoying. Hangs in there tilll the end. Decent co2. Mouth coating impressions for a finish.

660ml bottle shared with Dad, 6th May 19. Pours a clear straw colour. Aroma is typical Pilsner, yeast, citrus, light malt. Very fresh and refreshing Pilsner.

Bottle from Tesco. Pale gold in colour, with a billowy, white, head and slight carbonation. Aroma of lemony fruits, with a touch of hop. Flavour had crisp lager malts, some more fruit and gave way to a lingering, bitter, finish. A good lager.

On tap at BrewDog Edinburgh Airport. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of malts, light grain, light lemon peel, grass. Flavour follows, semi-sweet, decent bitterness, still a bog standard lager resembling many macro examples imho. Light bodied.
