Cask at Flowerpot, Derby Pours jet black with a small beige head. Has an aroma of coffee and cinnamon. Sweetness is predominant in the mouth with soft carbonation. Coffee is still there, but dilutes – latte ? There are hints of bacon, cocoa and blackberries as well. [ Maybe maple – but I don’t know what that tastes like ! ] Finish is bitter with coffee and chocolate lingering. Rather nice !

Cask at The Southampton Arms, Kentish Town, London. A black coloured pour with a thin off white head on top. Maple, malty, bacon, coffee aroma and taste. Not overly complex but quite a fun beer.
