Cat Spit is a very easy drinking oatmeal stout that everyone loves because it is frickin awesome. It has a good amount of flavor in the roasty area, that comes only from the malt bill. It’s just the way I like a stout to be, so there.
Note: Cat Spit Stout has been reformulated as an Oatmeal Milk Stout beginning in early 2015.

On tap Fire Works Pizza, Leesburg VA. Jet black in colour, with a tight, beige, head. A sweet stout, with chocolate, toasty, yet creamy, malts, before a boozy finish. Enjoyable.

Taster pour at the source. Appearance is opaque black with decent light brown head with fair retention and trace lacing. Aroma is lactose, roasted malt, vague chocolate. Taste is strong roasted malt, chocolate, sweetness from the lactose. Palate is medium-to-full bodied with smooth, thick, creamy soft texture, bittersweet roasted finish. Overall, true to the description, very nice roasty quality with nice addition from the oats and lactose.
